Hyperbaric oxygen therapy cost is easier to judge when the prices are written down. At Suntree in Rockledge, a standard 60-minute HBOT session is $200. The membership is $199 per month with a three-month commitment, and each member session is then $99, billed separately.

Red light therapy is a separate service at $39.95 for a 30-minute session. It is not part of the HBOT math below. You can see every option side by side on the pricing page.

Example monthly totals, worked out.

Here is what one month costs at three common frequencies. The membership line adds the $199 fee to the member session charges.

• 4 sessions: standard pricing is 4 × $200 = $800. Membership is $199 + (4 × $99 = $396) = $595.
• 8 sessions: standard pricing is 8 × $200 = $1,600. Membership is $199 + (8 × $99 = $792) = $991.
• 12 sessions: standard pricing is 12 × $200 = $2,400. Membership is $199 + (12 × $99 = $1,188) = $1,387.

The two options meet at about two sessions a month. Two standard sessions cost $400, and a membership month with two sessions costs $397. At one session a month, standard pricing is lower ($200 compared with $298).

Remember the commitment. Three monthly fees add up to $597 before any sessions. At eight sessions a month for three months, the membership totals $2,973 (3 × $991), compared with $4,800 at the standard rate. Why hospital wound-care HBOT is billed differently.

Hospital and wound-center programs use HBOT for specific medical diagnoses, such as selected diabetic foot wounds or delayed radiation injury. Those sessions are ordered by a physician, documented against a diagnosis, and usually billed to insurance with facility and professional charges. Prior authorization is common.

That means a hospital bill for one session is not comparable to a self-pay wellness price. The chamber, pressure, session length and billing structure can all differ. Suntree is a wellness center, not a hospital wound program or an emergency facility.

How insurance and HSA or FSA accounts usually fit in.

Coverage depends on your plan and your diagnosis. Wellness HBOT is generally self-pay, and Suntree does not promise insurance coverage. Our page on insurance and HBOT explains how coverage usually works and what to ask your insurer.

If you have a health savings account or flexible spending account, ask your plan administrator whether HBOT is an eligible expense for you. The center cannot make that decision for your account. Call the team to discuss payment before you book.

Questions to ask any provider about price.

Prices are only comparable when the sessions are. Ask these questions wherever you are comparing HBOT around Brevard County.

• How long is a session, and does the price include the time to pressurize and depressurize?
• What type of chamber is used, and how is oxygen delivered?
• Is there a membership fee, and are sessions billed on top of it?
• What is the commitment, and what are the cancellation terms?
• Is a health history and suitability review part of the process before the first session?

Looking for 90-minute sessions?
